Since I'm in a confessing kind of mood...

I thought I would announce to the world that my house is dirty.

Lest you think I am the June Cleaver of the 21st Century. I would like to allay all fears and concerns.

At first glance, it looks perfectly fine. Things are tidy, the carpet is vacuumed, the dishes done, and the kitchen has been swiffered.

But, upon closer inspection, you would find that my toilets are kinda icky, my shower needs a good scrub, the baseboards are super dusty, as well as pretty much every other flat surface in my home.

It's driving me bananas. But I just can't seem to find the time or energy to clean all this house. Granted, last weekend was the first time in six weeks that we were actually HOME...and I had a shower to throw. But, let's be serious, Florence Henderson had a live in maid! I bet her house would have been dirty too!

Why do I post this? Because I figure that maybe if I oust myself, I'll guilt myself into doing some heavy scrubbing this weekend.

We'll see.

jacquelyn - at least $120 for once a month! it ridiculous.

jeannett - if it makes you feel any better, i stay at home, so technically i should have a cleaner house, but my house is dusty and dirty like you say yours is, but also messy and not picked up, or swiffered or vacuumed. feel better? now i feel worse...

let me know if confessing works. my house is really, really dirty and if a public confession will motivate me to clean--well, it's worth a try.

It's a bit cheaper in SM...a "steal" at $100 each time they come. Ugh!

Oh, my friends, guilt might work, but what did it for me was that I knew I would be posting pictures on my blog!

But that was just for the girls' room. The rest of the house is not picture worthy. Almost always embarrassing really.

Don't feel bad, Jeannett!

HA! Can I join your confession club? Mine is cluttered and in need of a good scrubbing as well. It's not in "drop by" condition at all. Who has the time or energy? I'd like to meet that person and smack her around a bit!

Um, baseboards? Sounds like you are way ahead of me. Baseboards never even cross my mind!!
