As Promised...

Henry enjoying his play mat. You can see the beginnings of a double chin...but still the chicken legs. :)

Oh, and by the way, a friend of mine mentioned that she couldn't help but feel a little hurt by a comment in a previous post where I said that other babies that were bigger than Henry looked like monsters to me. I want to go on the record to apologize if I offended anyone! I totally didn't mean it in a bad way...I just meant that other babies looked so big to me. Poor choice of words...so sorry.

Also, just a comment: going bathing suit shopping 4 weeks after you've given birth is a bad idea.

Well for what it's worth---going bathing suit shopping 15 years after giving birth can be a frigtening experience as well !!! :)

Adorable pictures of Henry--as usual.

going shopping for a bathing suit with 3 kids is a terror too! I don't think it is ever fun unless you are the kind of person who wakes up in the morning, steps on the scale and says "wow, would you look at that. I just lost 10 lbs and I wasn't even trying."

Also, don't worry about Henry's hair. Eliot lost his hair and ended up looking like Gollum until he turned 2 and grew some headcover.

(semi-related to babies being monsters...

i remember as a kid, there was a headstone in the atascadero cemetary that was for a toddler who had died, and under the child's name it read, "our little monster." we always thought it was so hilarious that the kid's parents put that there!)

now jeannett, are you going to be one of those stage-mom types that dyes 7 year old henry's hair and won't let the poor boy wear the dorky clifford tshirt he picked out, so that he looks good? :)

so the boy loses his hair, he is adorable and has normal baby hair. kaitlyn's mohawk remains and i find it quite endearing. (better now than when she's a teenager!)

did you think bathing suit shopping would be fun at this point? what were you thinking???? although i must say, it seems as if your baby weight is falling off of you - you look great for having a 1 month old. btw, happy birthday henry! and about the hair, this won't be the only time you'll think he looks a little funny - wait until he starts to dress himself, or choose to style his own hair - then it gets interesting!

yeah, well i had to pick out a bathing suit for a borland family houseboat trip when nehemiah was 7 weeks old. yikes. i ended up with a tankini, and the bottom half was a skirt. i still love it because it hides a bunch! but yeah, there's no denying that you feel quite uneasy in those things postpartum!!!

Brianna-you found me out. That's why I really wanted a little girl. I had grand plans to join the Beauty Pageant circuit. I had visions of tiaras and sashes in my future...
