Twin Belly Shot: 36 Weeks

75% effaced.

1 cm dilated.

Baby A at 2 station.

Uterus measuring 44 cm.

Um yeah, that would be measuring as if I am a MONTH overdue with a singleton.

I swore to Andy that the minute I hit 36 weeks I was going to go for a jog (!), do jumping jacks, drink castor oil and whatever else it took to go into labor. But, now that it's here, and for as miserable as I am, I know that 36 weeks is the bare minimum of the safe zone, and that if they stay cooking for another week or so, that they will be bigger, stronger, and have better sucking reflexes...so it looks like I may have to wait to do my jogging until next week...BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
(Because if you know me at all, you know that I DON'T jog...or anything remotely resembling exercise for that matter!)

Oh, woman, you are AWESOME! You made it this far, you are selfless and putting your girls' health in front of your major discomfort and pain. Yay for you! (Well, you know what I mean.)

I think it's super cute that you are smiling in the picture. And, I'm with Joanie, you are amazing. And, when you do go jogging, be sure and take some pics, okay?

Hey Lady! I keep checking back thinking she must have had those babies by now...nope. Congrats anyway! No epidural? I still think you're crazy, but that's great. We're expecting a boy in October and my goal is to get to the hospital asap to get that epi...and then stay for as many nights as possible :) Can't wait to see pics of those little girls. (Erika)

I told Caedra, "My friend Jeannett has TWO babies in her tummy!" Caedra says, "WHAT!? How'd she do that?"
Ummm...I'm not ready for that question yet. Luckily I took too long to answer and she went back to playing with her cars. =)

Okay, every time your blog is bolded in my reader I get so excited, and yet there you are STILL pregnant. You look great and those girls will be here before you know it and the pain will be a distant memory.

WOOOOOOO - 36 weeks! I know you are miserable and I'm so sorry for your discomfort, but I have to say I'm glad the girls are still cooking, because they have a good chance of being fat and healthy and coming home with you!
Good job mama, I'm shaking my head and how you are doing this and still smiling :)

I lurk. But breaking the silence to let you know that you are absolutely beautiful. You're doing good work.

(I'm assuming you've seen "(The Unassisted Homebirth of) Psalm and Zoya"? I show it in my childbirth prep class because almost everyone remembers some part of it while they're in labor.)

Holly-No, I have never even heard of it! Unfortunately, I can't find it online, nor is it on netflix or even at my library...my only option would be to actually buy it for $45! Bummer!

Congrats making it to 36 weeks! My girls were born at 38 wks and I was soooo ready (there may have been a few jumping jacks heading to my last OB appt). I now have a little boy (who will be named Henry) due in 9 wks so your blog caught my eye! Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well and quickly!
