Loot

One of the new home developments in Orcutt was selling all of the furnishings in one of their model homes on Saturday. It started at 10 a.m. and I thought about going at 9 and standing in line...but I decided that I wasn't in the mood for frantic yard sale shopping. At about noon, my friend Lynette called me to say that she was there and that there was very little left, but that they had a dining room table that she thought I might like (I've been wanting a new dining set, but not wanting to spend the money). So, I jumped in the car and drove over to check it out. When I got there, they had slim pickings...but remember, the pickings were on model home furnishings, so it's almost impossible to not have it be good stuff. And because I didn't get there until almost 1:00, and there was next to nothing left, the lady started slashing all the already low prices even further. Here's what I scored:

A fun metal end table with mirrored top. $20

A huge apothetcary jar (at least 20" tall). $5

Mirrored bowl. $5
(It has the price tag from Z Galerie underneath...$32.95!)

Big, cool finials. $13 for all three.
(I have no idea where I am going to put them, but they seemed like too good of a deal to pass up.)

Really nice mahogany (possibly real...it's HEAVY) table with leaf. $100

Now I just need new chairs. Someone else bought them. Poop. I LOVE good deals! Now I kinda wish I had gone earlier...but then I probably would have spent altogether too much money. :)
