And in this corner...

Weighing in at 8 lbs. 15 oz., 21.5 inches long...Lucy Joy Gibson!!!!

(crowd roars)

And in the other corner, weighing in at 7 lbs. 9 oz., 20 inches long...Jillian Mary Gibson!!!

(crowd goes nuts)

***

These little girls couldn't be more different. It's crazy.

Jill loves being swaddled...the tighter, the better. Lucy...throws a fit if you restrict her movement.

Jill likes to be held laying down (like a baby)...Lucy wants to be held up over your shoulder.

Jill loves her Paci...Lucy - not so much.

Jill rarely cries and when she does, it's a little squeaky whine. Lucy cries all. the. time. and you can hear her in the next zip code. (in fact, we think she might have colic...evenings are intense around here).

Jill wears a size Newborn diaper...Lucy is in a size 1...Henry is in size 4...so when I go anywhere I have to pack three different sizes of diapers (we are postponing potty training for a week...until Daddy can be home to help out).

Jill is still in Newborn sized clothes...Lucy has moved on to 0-3 months. (Which is totally crazy considering Henry was in PREEMIE clothes until he was 6 weeks old!!!)

So far, the personalities I sensed in the womb are proving true. Lucy/Baby A was always my crazy one...Jill/Baby B was mellow (aside from her late term acrobatics). It will be interesting to see if this holds as they grow up...

Big brother is loving on his sisters all the time. I regularly find a toy next to a sleeping baby and he kisses and pats their heads while I nurse.

Lucy...always scowling...even asleep...

This morning he tried to feed Jill some milk with a spoon...he looked really confused when I told him no..."Baby Jilly eat milk mama?"

Yes Henry, but it has to be milk FROM mama, not your cereal bowl. :)

I love the way Jill is looking at Lucy in that picture - too funny! So amazing to hear all the differences. I don't know HOW you are doing it over there, I am amazed by your mothering skills. And Henry is too cute with the milk - I remember my neices trying to feed their baby sister M&M's...my sister in law about had a heart attack.
Love the pics - keep em coming!

Glad to see they are doing well and growing. Hope you are doing well, also.

Cute pictures!

I like Henry's logic. Sedona tried feeding a very tiny Marissa a muffin made with milk and cinnamon and lots of other no-no ingredients. I freaked!

If your ears need a break in the evening, I've got ex.per.i.ence with colic and Little Lucy can holler at me all she wants - I don't mind! (I should inform you that my experience with colic does not mean I can soothe her, but it gives you a break, and well, I just love holding babies...)
