A few things about having two babies in my tummy:

  1. Said "tummy" is huge.
  2. Carrying two babies is very different than carrying one. The last few days I have found that even the simplest tasks tax my body. For example, yesterday I worked at the office for 8 hours and walked with the girls at lunch. On my way home, I stopped and picked up some groceries and then went home and made spaghetti for dinner. Nothing over the top...but by the end of the night, I was so physically exhausted and just SPENT...almost shaky and just wanting to cry. Even though I'm not gigantic yet, my body is obviously busy using it's energy for other things and not wanting me to do much more than necessary. I'll be honest, it scares me a bit. I'm only 14 weeks. So, for me to get that drained from such a mundane set of tasks is a little overwhelming. I can't imagine how much worse it will be when I'm in my third trimester.
  3. Every morning, Henry has some cuddle time in bed with mom and dad. Every morning, we play a game: "Where is mama's nose?" He points to my nose. "Where is daddy's hair?" He points to daddy's hair. "Where is Henry's ear?" He points to his ear. "Where is mommy's tummy?" He points to my boobs. Right. They are apparently so huge he just thinks they are stomachs. Fantastic.

But really, I'm enjoying this pregnancy. It's kind of fun to have skipped the whole "I'm gaining weight, but I just look fat instead of pregnant" look. I just look...pregnant. So that's nice. I'm not sick and I'm still sleeping (Herb is my own personal miracle worker!)...I feel really good. I just have to remind myself to take it extra easy. But as long as I cut back on some things, I feel awesome.

Your #3 just cracked me up!! Remember, Nelle is ready, willing and able to move in with you--just say the word!!

Can't wait to see you this weekend. Do you really think Marcia will allow Tess to stay at the house without her????

Make a list of things you want done--Nelle, Tess and I are happy to cook, clean, shop--whatever.

Geez, I was that way, with one baby! I mean the totally exhausted by mundain tasks, part. I ate while I worked and took a nap during my lunch break while I was pregnant with Caedra. Otherwise I couldn't make it through the day. I can't imagine how much energy it takes to make TWO babies!
As always, you make me smile. =)
