Doing our part to help the economy

Behold, the fancy schmancy fridge!
We figured that if we had to buy a new stinking fridge, we might as well get one we really want. Besides, yours truly, aka the bargain shopper extraordinaire, took full advantage of Sears price match policy and got the best possible price...to the tune of $600 off! Yoohoo! So really, we got a fancy fridge for only a little more than the cost of a "plain" white side by side. (I had no idea fridges were so expensive!!!)
Our plan has always been to upgrade the appliances in the kitchen to stainless steel...just not quite yet. So, for now, we have the stainless fridge and everything else is white. Someday...and unless this economy gets better quick, it won't be for a while!
Hope everyone had a happy Monday!

ooooh gorgeous! Also - a tip for cleaning stainless steel (because it holds smudges like crazy) a wee bit of baby oil on a soft rag...voila, sparkling stainless!

Congrats on your new fridge, I hope it's good to you :)

ACTUALLY ladies, it's not stainless steel...it's this new stuff called "Satina"...basically it's a paint. I guess lots of people were loving the SS look, but hating the fingerprints and maintenance...so the companies came up with this. And it doesn't look like paint. It really looks like SS (trust me, because if it didn't, I would have rather the cleaning headache than a cheesy look). I knew that with little one(s) and two dog noses...I would be screwed!

my first thought was, "wow! sooo pretty!"

my second thought was, "hee, hee, she'll be wiping fingerprints off it all day long!"

great job on the super deal!
