Ahhh...

MUCH better!

Highlights from Henry's first day at the new daycare:

--They have a milipede, that apparently was injured from a fall off the countertop and the kids have been nursing it back to health and "learning how to take care of our pets". Today was the milipede's 1st birthday and they had a birthday party!

--She has each child's name up on a board and a list of 25 "Good Choices". If a child is seen making a good choice, they get a little star by their name and the number of the choice is written on the star to help parents know what is going well and what other things might need some work. Examples of a good choice include: saying please/thank you, using a "big kid" voice instead of whining, not stepping on toys or tearing books, leaving the nap room quietly and not waking your friends, etc. She told Andy today that she is going to add a #26: "Being nice to Henry." How cute is that?!

--I asked Andy if he was crying when he picked him up. Nope, he was laying on the floor on a blanket with the rest of the kids during storytime.

Soooo much better!

i'm thrilled about this place! it sounds so great. i was not liking the sound of that other place either, and i'm glad you went with your mommy instincts.
