Brenda said that depending on how my blood work comes back, she may have me start seeing a doctor...which is fine, except that I hope that doesn't automatically preclude me from having a home birth. Obviously, I want what is best for our health (baby and I) but it would just stink to have gone this far and end up in a hospital for delivery. Ick.
OH, and some good news! She said that she told the doctor about his incorrect baby gender prediction (remember, she delivered a girl and he had told them it would be a boy?)...and he was stunned. So he looked at the file and it turns out that the girl was only 12.5 weeks along! He can't imagine why on earth he would ever even give her a gender prediction that early on. Why is this good news? Because I've been really neurotic and deathly afraid that this kid is suddenly going to come out a girl. What with all the blue walls, blue onesies, and blue...everything, I haven't washed a single stitch of clothing for fear that I'll have to do lots of returning...not that I probably have any clue where the receipts are anyway....BUT, since we got our ultrasound at 28 weeks, I'm sure he was right. So, I can do laundry after all! I've never been so excited about that!

Oh I hope everything goes okay! Sorry the swelling is still a problem. Will pray that things improve. Maybe you'll get to be a French Hospital snob after all! :)
I knew your acupuncturist was White, but named HERB?! OH that is just too much!
I'm so sorry you are swelling. That is the worst!!! The good news is that people will be telling you how amazing you look when you still have ten pounds to lose later on. hang in there, it is totally worth it!
My friend Karla from Mississippi just sent me an e-mail and where she described pregnacy this way:
"I feel like when i'm in an amusement park in the scariest ride, as it's about to hit its peek you want to get down, but it's too late no one can do anything about it, you can cry or scream but you have to finish and when you finish and get that rush, you say 'lets do it again'."
I loved it. It's so accurate. I thought I'd share because you are almost at the peak of the ride right now. =)
